Frequently Asked Questions
1. When is this course going to be ready?
I'm planning to have it ready to launch for October (2020).
2. Will this be an ever-green course like the 4-steps one?
No, this one will take all learners through the content together, as a community. The course is open for pre-registration at a highly reduced rate now, then it will open for enrolment at the higher price for 5 days, after which enrolment closes and the course begins. I am planning to run this course only 2-4 times a year. This process will allow me to make changes and updates to the upcoming content as we go through it together, based on the feedback I receive from learners and what I see they would benefit from the most.
The other advantage, besides being able to make adjustments and fine-tuning during the process, is that all learners are at the same stage together. This will enhance the community experience as you will all be able to discuss, debate and ask questions about what we have just gone through as a group.
3. Does this mean that once enrolment closes, people would have to wait several months to join the next round of the course?
4. How much does this course cost?
The course costs £395. However, as we are in the pre-registration stage for the very 1st iteration, I have also made a large discount available to pre-register now at £250. When the course is ready to launch, for 5 days people will still be able to enrol, but at the actual price of £395. Then, enrolment closes and we start the course together.
5. Will there be any opportunity to have specific questions answered by you?
Yes, the Implementer course will include some live sessions in which I will answer your questions to the best of my ability. These questions should be submitted in advance to make sure I give the most useful answers I can during the session. If I don't have the answer to a question, I will try to find it for you. If you can't attend the live session, which will probably be on this platform as a Zoom webinar, you will be able to view the recording of it. I understand some learners won't be able to attend live as they live in different time zones.
6. What will this course cover?
Using the same 4-step structure you are familiar with from the introductory course, these steps will be fleshed out but we will also discuss things like an EBP mindset, and we will go into a lot more detail on what you need to know.
7. Will I be able to design, set up, run and evaluate EBP projects in my force after this course?
Yes, that's exactly the point.
8. Will there be any assessment? Do I get a qualification?
Yes, there will be knowledge checks and you will have to pass them in order to progress with the course. You are making an investment in your skills here, so I want to help you absorb the material by forcing your brain to think about what you have just learned. If you pass the course, you will gain a certificate to prove it. If you find you are struggling with a particular topic we have covered, you can get support from your fellow learners or you can get in touch with me and I will see how I can help you.
9. The community feature of the Academy is amazing, will I be able to stay in it once the course has finished?
Yes, you will have life-time access to this platform (i.e. as long as I'm running it), so do invest a lot of energy into networking and building up relationships with EBP-interested colleagues in any force you want.
10. How can I pay for the course?
You can either pay directly by card, or if you have a PayPal account, you can pay by PayPal. You can pay once you register using the form above.
11. What if I want to register more than one learner?
If you want to sign up more people, e.g. your colleagues or staff, simply contact me via contact@EBPDoctor.com and we will work out the best enrolment method for you together.
12. What if I pay and then change my mind?
The Terms and Conditions of the EBP Doctor Academy are here and they contain cancellation details.
