Online Courses
Online Courses on the Police Science Dr Academy may be delivered through a mixture of recorded lectures, live video sessions, assessments, discussions, and knowledge checks. You may be required to successfully complete each assessment, if applicable, in order to be able to progress in the course and obtain a certification of completion.

In order to access a course on the Academy, you are required to create an account with the online learning platform LearnWorlds, which is where the Academy is hosted. You will receive an email inviting you to set up an access password when you have successfully enrolled on a course.

By registering for any course on the Academy, you are also agreeing to join the Police Science Dr email list. You can unsubscribe from this list at any time.

You must not share your account credentials, particularly your username and password.

We accept no liability for any losses or damages incurred as a result of your account credentials being shared by you. If you use a shared computer or device, it is recommended that you do not save your account credentials in your Internet browser.

If you have reason to believe that your account credentials have been obtained by another person without consent, you should contact us immediately.

When you access the online learning platform, you will not own the multimedia content therein. Instead, we give you permission to use it for the purpose of your learning. You may not distribute or sell it in any way.

No course content provides advice on any individual investigation, case or situation. Courses are designed to assist your decision-making and acquire or fine-tune new or existing skills, but it is your responsibility to apply your learning gained from the course in such a way that it is appropriate to any particular case(s) you may be working on in the present or future.

The courses do not purport to be able to solve your case, only to provide you with knowledge that may assist in your investigation.

Under no circumstances, including, but not limited to, negligence, will Raven’s Ocean Ltd. (Police Science Dr) be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the materials on this site.

In no event shall Raven’s Ocean Ltd. (Police Science Dr) have any liability to you for damages, losses, and causes of action (including but not limited to, negligence or otherwise) exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing this site or any course therein.

Facts and information on this website and the courses therein are believed to be accurate at the time they were placed on the website. Changes may be made at any time without prior notice.

Your purchase of a course does not entitle you to direct, individual advice from either Police Science Dr or any course instructors. Although it is possible they will join in some discussions on the course platform, they are not required to do so. 

You are encouraged to ask questions in the social forum on the learning platform, and to answer other learners’ questions on there if you can, but there is no guarantee that the course instructors will answer your individual questions.

We exercise all reasonable skill and care to ensure that our online learning platform is free from viruses and other malware. You are responsible for protecting your hardware, software, data and other material from viruses, malware and other Internet security risks.

We accept no liability for any loss or damage resulting from a virus and other malware, or other harmful material that may adversely affect your hardware, software, data or other material, that occurs as a result of your use of our online learning platform (including the download of any multimedia content from it) or any other website or service to which we may provide a link.    

Requirements
It is your responsibility to ensure you have access to the means by which you can access the course, be that a computer, laptop, tablet or smart phone. It is recommended to use a device with a larger screen to consume the contents of the course on.

You will require access to the internet in order to access the course.

The Academy is hosted on a platform called LearnWorlds. We have not come across any police force that restricts access to this platform. Therefore, you should be able to access the course from your work computer, but we cannot guarantee that. Please check and source an alternative machine to access the course from, if necessary.

The courses are currently only available in English.

Price, Cancellation & Refunds
Courses are individually priced and their prices may vary depending on special promotions or offers. Please check individual courses’ details for pricing.

Courses must be paid for online, in full, before access to the learning is granted, unless you are paying in instalments. You can use PayPal (either your PayPal account or debit/credit card information), or Stripe to make your payment. Stripe allows you to use your credit or debit card to pay as a one-off, without having an account with them.

You will gain access to the course you purchased as soon as the full payment has been made, unless the course has not yet launched. If that is the case, you will be kept informed about the projected start date of the course and you will gain access as soon as the course is live.

We will do all that we reasonably can to ensure that all of the information you give us is secure by using an encrypted secure payment mechanism. However, in the absence of negligence on our part, any failure by us to comply with this contract or our Privacy Policy or breach by us of our duties under applicable laws, we will not be legally responsible to you for any loss that you may suffer if a third party gains unauthorised access to any information that you give us.

You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days without giving any reason, by emailing contact@PoliceScienceDr.com.

Provided you have not accessed any learning materials beyond the first module, you will be issued a full refund of your course fee within 10 working days.

If you have accessed any of the learning materials beyond the first module, you are not entitled to a refund.
